More Than A Number originated in the Poynter-Koch Media and Journalism Fellowship and is now a community initiative at 13WMAZ, a television station in Macon, Georgia. The project's creator, Justin Baxley, created More Than a Number during the fellowship and continued working on it at WMAZ, where he is a digital content manager.
